TRISTAR’s appraisal included process management, project and support for current software development projects for customers across the Department of Defense. TRISTAR also holds ISO 9001:2015 certification.

October 19, 2017 – Tri Star Engineering Inc, (Tri Star) Bedford, IN was awarded a five-year U.S. Army contract for technical support services for Project Manager Soldier Weapons. Project Manager Soldier Weapons (PM SW) supports soldiers through the enhancement of current systems and development of next generation weapons technology. The organization focuses on ensuring soldiers are equipped with world-class weapon systems and associated target acquisition/fire-control products.
Tri Star will provide program acquisition recommendations, program coordination, and guidance to support the decision-making process for PM SW Product Directors. This is accomplished through research, analysis, and support of acquisition decisions. These efforts will be provided in support of Research and Development (R&D), Production, Logistics, weapon systems, and remote weapon stations and platforms.
PM SW products are crucial to the success of the American soldier on the battlefield. PM SW’s mission is to develop, acquire, field, and sustain dominant soldier weapon systems to provide Warfighter overmatch.
The primary location for the performance of work under this contract is at Army Command Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey.
July 19, 2017 – Rear Admiral Mark R. Whitney, Director, Fleet Maintenance (N43 Maintenance) U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia came to Bedford, IN to visit the Tri Star Engineering, Inc (Tri Star) corporate production facility. Whitney came to review the U.S. Navy’s topside antenna restoration and overhaul operations. Whitney was accompanied by dignitaries from the Rotating Radar Program Office (PEO-IWS/2R), Washington DC, including Howard James (PEO IWS 2R1E), Anthony Stacy (PEO-IWS/RF), and Scott Doherty (C51). Also in attendance were personnel from Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Indiana and Naval Surface Warfare Center PHD, Damneck Virginia (Rotating Radar in Service Engineering Agent).
RADM Whitney was given a guided tour by Mr. Carlos Gaitani, Tri Star Chief Executive Officer, through the restoration facility highlighting the critical operations performed at Tri Star in support of the U.S. Navy Warfighter. During a brief session immediately following the tour, RADM Whitney stated, “I thank Tri Star for all your support and have a great appreciation of the critical efforts performed by Tri Star as well as the noticeable commitment of Tri Star employee driven excellence.” Whitney continued to give high praise to the level of Tri Star employee dedication and involvement in the development of the processes utilized in the performance of restoration and overhaul process which is invaluable service to the U.S. Fleet.
After RADM Whitney concluded his tour of Tri Star facility he traveled to NSWC Crane to review additional Radar Restoration efforts underway.
May 25, 2017 – Tri Star Engineering Inc, Bedford, IN was awarded the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division Task Order to support a range of professional services to include the areas of Labor and Employee Relations, Staffing and Classification, Workforce Development, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Human Resources Policy Planning and Analysis. This Task Order (TO) supports projects and programs pertinent to the Human Resources Division for Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division (NSWC Crane). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) is a world class Naval Installation providing technical solutions to the Department of Defense. The secured installation is in southwest Indiana and covers approximately 100 square miles. Approximately 3,200 Government personnel are employed covered under three pay systems; General Schedule (GS), Federal Wage Grade System (FWS), and NAVSEA Demonstration Project (DEMO). Approximately seventy-five percent (75%) of the workforce are scientists, engineers, and technicians.
NSWC Crane provides comprehensive leadership and support for complex military systems spanning development, deployment and sustainment in three mission areas: Electronic Warfare/Information Operations, Strategic Missions, and Special Missions. NSWC Crane leverages its unique technical capabilities and those of industry partners to provide rapid response technical solutions to meet the mission of the warfighter.
The Human Resources Division is responsible for the overall development and execution of the Human Capital Strategy for NSWC Crane.
Work will be performed at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division Base, Crane, IN. The task order was competed under Seaporte.

The new office is in one Bloomington’s premiere locations with proximity to highways, Indiana University, Ivy Tech and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Base (NSWC Crane). This office is part of Tri Star’s new growth strategy “Driving Change” to expand the Information Technology Services portfolio. As the Chief Operating Officer of Tri Star, Jon brings over fifteen years of progressive experience in leading Defense/Federal companies. Jon oversees Tri Star’s Operations and Administrative Infrastructure. Previously, Jon served as Chief Administrative Officer of NikSoft Systems Corp. an award winning small business in Reston, VA. As NikSoft ‘s CAO, Jon assumed leadership for the day-to-day affairs of the company. Prior to joining NikSoft, Jon began his career in private legal practice before performing similar contracting functions for large consulting firms.

The support services performed under this Task Order is Engineering, Technical, Logistics, and Programmatic services across the Department of Defense Acquisition Life-Cycle for Expeditionary Electronic Warfare Systems Division (EEWSD) in support of the Spectrum Warfare Department at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane across the Department of Defense Acquisition Life-Cycle. Expeditionary Electronic Warfare encompasses Littoral, Riverine, Amphibious, Ground, and Low Altitude domains of Electronic Warfare (EW). The focus of this effort is on development, upgrade and support of EW systems and technologies encompassing electronic attack (EA), electronic protection (EP), electronic support (ES), and Cyber/EW activities in the areas of vectors or techniques for cyber payload delivery, offensive / defensive vulnerabilities assessment, and Cyber/EW test infrastructure development.
This is a five-year (5) Task Order with work will be performed at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division Base, Crane, IN. The task order was competed under Seaport-e.
